K60 Series Vibro-Insulators®

The K60 Series compression style mounts are designded to be used in the compresssion mode.  These low profile mounts make them ideal for use with reciprocating and rotating machinery. The K60 Style provides stability in the horizontal plane while having a safety factor in the vertical plane due to the reinforced base metal.

Features and Benefits:

  • Low cost
  • Easy instillation with two flanged style mounting holes
  • No maintenance
  • Ideal for compressive loads from 50 to 480 pounds
  • K63's are encapsulated and have a ribbed base to prevent slippage
  • K63 are available in both English (5/16-18), and Metric (M8X1.25) taps
  • The K60's are Yellow Zinc plated
  • K60's are available in 3/8-16 and 1/2-20 equipment taps
  • K60's are also available in M10x1.5 equipment taps
  • Availble in 30, 40, 50, 60, & 70 Durometer Shore A
  • Available in Natural Rubber Neoprene and Nitrile (Buna-N)
  • Standard elastomer is Neoprene
  • High and Low frequency applications
  • Made in the USA

 Static Load Applications:

  • HVAC equipment
  • Chemical and food processing equipment
  • Centrifuges and pumps
  • Stationary blowers and fans
  • Motors, generators, compressors, welders

Environmental Data:

  •  K60 Style mounts are designed for stadic compression loads and are not recomened in tension applications.
  • All static load test data for the K60 Style Vibro-Insulator® Mounts is based on Neoprene.
  • Structure made of corrosion resistant carbon steel plated with Yellow Zinc Dichromate.

Natural Rubber (NR)

Advantages:  Outstanding resilience; high tensile strength; superior resistance to tear and abasion; excellent rebound elasticity (snap); good flexibility at low temperatures (-40° F to 155° F).

Limitations:  Poor resistance to heat, ozone, and sunlight; very little resistance to oil gasoline, and hydrocarbon solvents.

  • Operating temperatures should not exceed 155° F.
  • Natural Rubber is not recommended from exposure to oil, gasoline, ozone sunlight.
  • K60 Style mounts are not recomened in tension applications.

Neoprene (CR)

Advantages:  Good inherent flame resistance; moderate resistance to oil and gasoline; very good resistance to weather, ozone, and natural aging; good resistance to flex cracking; very good resistance to alkalis and acids.

Limitations:  Poor to fair resistance aromatic and oxygenated solvents; limited flexibility at low temperatures (10° F to 180° F).

Nitrile (Buna-N)

Advantages:  Very good resistance to oil and gasoline; superior resistance to petroleum-based hydraulic fluids; wide range of service temperatures (-65° F to 300° F); good resistance to hydrocarbon solvents; very good resistance to alkalis and acids.

Limitations:  Inferior resistance to ozone, sunlight, and natural aging; poor resistance to oxygenated solvents.
